Maintenance Planning Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Planning Supervisor (Fixed Plant) reports to the Senior Maintenance Planner and ensures that all maintenance activities are fully planned, resourced, and executed efficiently. The role focuses on maximizing plant availability, reliability, and safety while supporting cost‑effective operations.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and implement the Plant Maintenance preventive‑maintenance (PM) program within the CMMS, defining frequencies based on best practice and OEM recommendations.
• Coordinate work scoping, backlog reporting, and weekly PM task management with Maintenance Supervisors.
• Schedule tasks according to resource availability, ensure critical parts are available, and provide expediting support when needed.
• Develop, monitor, and report maintenance KPIs; build presentations for the maintenance team.
• Lead planning meetings with operational and maintenance personnel and conduct reliability performance evaluations.
• Participate in safety activities, continuous‑improvement initiatives, and equipment statutory inspection registers.
• Assist in shutdown planning, creating Gantt‑chart schedules in collaboration with relevant teams.
• Support budgeting and financial planning with the Maintenance Superintendent and Senior Planner.
• Promote compliance with internal policies, statutory requirements, and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in maintenance planning and scheduling for fixed‑plant environments.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS functionality and preventive‑maintenance best practices.
• Ability to develop and analyse maintenance KPIs and reliability data.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams and managing shutdown schedules.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, compliance, and safety management in an industrial setting.
