Senior Project Engineer

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer leads the planning, coordination, and execution of construction and infrastructure projects from initiation through delivery. You will oversee technical activities, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and progress reports.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for accuracy.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Monitor deliverables to ensure work follows approved designs and quality standards.
• Prepare and review submittals, RFIs, method statements, and progress reports.
• Identify risks and technical issues, implementing corrective actions.
• Support procurement and material planning to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental, and company policy compliance on site.
• Participate in site meetings, inspections, testing, and commissioning as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reporting.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Assist with budget monitoring, cost control, and resource optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5–8 years of project engineering experience in construction, infrastructure, elevators & escalators, or building services.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and construction practices.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
