Artificial Intelligence Business Specialist

About the role

CMA CGM is looking for an AI Business Specialist based in Abidjan within its Regional Office, supporting business activities across 40 countries in Africa. The role acts as a catalyst for AI transformation in CMA CGM's operations in Africa, bridging technology and business through pilot projects, training and thought leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases in logistics, supply chain, customer experience and back office, and champion AI adoption from executives to frontline teams
• Translate business needs into scalable AI-enabled solutions, define measurable success criteria and act as process owner for AI-enabled processes
• Shape AI operating processes across people, processes, tools and governance, and partner with external AI players on best practices
• Design and implement safe AI-supported workflows such as AI agents, copilots and intelligent orchestration, and coordinate dashboards and cross-system orchestration
• Develop reusable architectural and process patterns to scale AI capabilities
• Act as central point of accountability for enterprise AI standards and responsible deployment, and establish governance frameworks for secure, compliant AI usage
• Partner with HR/L&D to build AI literacy, including prompt engineering and data literacy, and advocate for responsible, transparent and fair AI
• Monitor AI trends and pilot emerging technologies, and liaise with startups, academia and tech providers to co-create solutions for African markets (e.g. low-bandwidth AI, multilingual NLP)
• Identify and invest in relevant AI start-ups in the region

Required profile

• Proven track record of driving AI/automation adoption in complex, multi-country environments
• Hands-on experience applying AI or automation in real business environments
• Excellent communicator able to work at all levels of the organization
• Fluent in French and English
