DevOps & Cloud Architect (M/W)

About the role

ENGEEM is looking for a DevOps engineer to design and manage the virtualization of software solutions for its products in cloud and hybrid environments. The role sits within the R&D team of solution architects and works under a project director who guides technology studies, technical execution and environment administration. It is a full-time position based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and evolve the solution system, balancing needs across the software development life cycle, from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates.
• Unify and automate processes between new feature needs and stability, combining code, application maintenance and application management.
• Work with network virtualization, packet acceleration and other cloud technologies for several engineering teams.
• Ensure CI/CD: build and test changes, add them to repositories and deploy updates quickly and efficiently.
• Take responsibility for security from the start: automate security gates, choose the right tools and security features.
• Implement automation with scripting in Shell or Python.
• Deploy and maintain microservices in containers, design clusters with Kubernetes, and manage their lifecycle (installation, update, scaling).
• Manage system load.

Required profile

• Ability to communicate and collaborate with teams, managers and customers.
• Experience in system administration: provisioning and managing servers, deploying databases, security monitoring, patching, and managing internal and external network connectivity.
• Strong knowledge of CNCF tools across the DevOps lifecycle, from infrastructure and building to monitoring and operations.
• Ability to design, provision and manage computing ecosystems on-premises and in the cloud, including Infrastructure as Code and cloud resource management.

Required skills

• Scripting and programming in Python, Java, Scala or Go.
• At least one configuration management tool such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes and container runtime management.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP, or Terraform.
