Chief of Party – Cocoa Supply Chain Resilience Lead

About the role

The Chief of Party will provide overall leadership for a three‑year, industry‑led initiative aimed at strengthening the resilience of the cocoa supply chain in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana. Reporting directly to senior project sponsors, you will act as the primary liaison with regional and local partners, government agencies, and key stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and high‑quality field implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and strategic oversight for the entire program.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to budgets.
• Coordinate and supervise the work plan, delivering outputs on time and within scope.
• Recruit, lead, and mentor a team of over 20 in‑country staff and a matrixed network of more than 200 coaches, enumerators, and operational personnel.
• Engage with implementing partners to uphold program governance and report progress in periodic meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual, financial, and performance verification obligations.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale agricultural or environmental programs in West Africa.
• Strong track record of managing multi‑disciplinary teams and complex stakeholder relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee budgets, risk management, and reporting mechanisms.
