Chief of Party – Lead Cocoa Supply Chain Initiative

About the role

The Chief of Party will provide overall leadership for an industry‑led initiative aimed at strengthening the resilience of the cocoa supply chain in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana. Reporting to senior Rainforest Alliance stakeholders, you will oversee field implementation, coordination, and impact verification for a three‑year seed stage program.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and strategic oversight of the program.
• Serve as the primary liaison with regional and local partners, governments, and key stakeholders.
• Ensure full delivery of technical, financial, compliance, and contractual obligations.
• Manage daily operations, resources, and budget to achieve timely outputs.
• Recruit, supervise, and coordinate a team of >20 staff and >200 coaches, enumerators, and operational personnel.
• Facilitate stakeholder participation and governance through regular meetings and reporting.
• Lead risk management, monitoring, and impact assessment activities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading large‑scale agricultural or development programs in West Africa.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams and complex stakeholder networks.
• Strong understanding of cocoa agronomy, supply‑chain dynamics, and community engagement.
• Demonstrated track record in delivering results within budget and timeline constraints.
