Commercial Assistant

About the role

MANE, a family‑owned leader in flavor and fragrance, is looking for a Commercial Assistant to support its Fragrance division in Johannesburg. You will work closely with Key Account Managers, ensuring smooth commercial operations and high‑quality service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Commercial team (Key Account Managers) across all commercial activities.
• Create, update and close commercial projects in the GPMS system, handling sample requests, stability tests, pricelist generation and technical/legal documentation.
• Liaise with pricing, laboratory and evaluation teams to gather required information throughout the project lifecycle.
• Generate yearly pricelists for customers and maintain accurate system data at all times.
• Act as GPMS super‑user/key‑user for the Sub‑Saharan Africa region, delivering training and support to other users.
• Support the Fragrance Director with process‑related tasks and proactive problem‑solving.
• Manage parcel reception and dispatch, preparing customs invoices and documentation for DHL/UPS shipments.
• Contribute to performance management, ethics, CSR and SHEQ initiatives in line with MANE’s values.

• Strong understanding of commercial processes and ability to work proactively.

• Commitment to ethical business practices and corporate social responsibility.

Required skills

• GPMS (commercial project management system) proficiency.
