Datacenter Technician – Structured Cabling & Network Support

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Datacenter Technician to perform on‑site troubleshooting of a Cisco wireless access point that is experiencing connectivity problems. The role involves working at heights of up to 5 meters, diagnosing layer‑1 issues, testing and repairing structured cabling, and ensuring reliable network connectivity.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues on Cisco CW9164I‑MR access points.
• Verify link integrity between the access point and the network switch.
• Conduct structured cabling diagnostics, including patch cable, I/O port, and horizontal cabling tests.
• Replace faulty cables or components as needed.
• Trace existing cabling from the patch panel to the access point and validate post‑remediation connectivity.
• Coordinate with remote/backline support teams during troubleshooting.
• Provide clear updates and closure notes after work completion.

Required profile

• Proven experience in structured cabling and network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Cisco wireless hardware and switch connectivity.
• Ability to work safely at heights and use ladders.
• Strong reporting and communication skills in English.
