EHS Project Technician

About the role

Join Alstom in Abidjan as an EHS Project Technician, applying your environmental, health, and safety expertise to support cutting‑edge rail projects. You will work closely with project managers, EHS leads, and cross‑functional teams to ensure safety, compliance, and sustainability on site.

Key responsibilities

• Support the EHS Project Manager with all EHS‑related matters and coordinate with internal resources to achieve EHS objectives.
• Conduct EHS risk assessments, implement control measures, and monitor compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Provide guidance to project staff to prevent injuries, equipment damage, and environmental pollution.
• Develop and maintain EHS management systems, deploy Alstom’s EHS tools, and conduct workplace inspections and audits.
• Assist in incident reporting, investigation, analysis, and the delivery of corrective actions.

Required profile

• Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Understanding of EHS management systems and standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Knowledge of risk assessment, emergency planning, and EHS legal requirements.
• Certification in EHS such as NEBOSH or IOSH is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
