Graduate Trainee - Manufacturing & Engineering

About the role

Nestlé Côte d'Ivoire is recruiting a Graduate Trainee in Manufacturing & Engineering for a fixed-term position of 18 months in Abidjan (Yopougon and Zone 4). The programme is designed to develop the next generation of leaders, offering training, mentoring and coaching in leadership skills. Candidates must hold at least a minimum engineering degree with a production and technical background from a recognised university and at least one year of relevant work experience.

Key responsibilities

• Production: support daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets, monitor processes and identify improvements, assist in continuous improvement initiatives, analyse production data and prepare performance reports, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and food safety standards.
• Engineering: support maintenance and reliability activities, assist in troubleshooting equipment and process issues, take part in projects to improve efficiency and productivity, and support preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Both areas: contribute to automation, digitalisation and continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with engineering, safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Minimum engineering degree with production and technical background from a recognised university.
• At least one year of relevant work experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, good communication and teamwork skills, and strong learning agility.
• Interest in manufacturing and factory operations, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and basic English.
• Demonstrated leadership potential through academic, community or extracurricular activities.

Required skills

• Experience with automation and digitalisation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
