In-Country Operations Specialist – Francophone

About the role

The In-Country Operations Specialist (Francophone) will shape and execute the strategic roadmap for JUMO’s key partnerships across East Africa. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will combine local market knowledge with operational execution to drive product performance and build strong stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Support product performance by contributing to strategic plans, preparing action plans, and implementing productivity improvements.
• Maintain regular contact with stakeholder groups, identify needs, resolve challenges, and anticipate new opportunities.
• Collaborate proactively with Portfolio Management, Product, Marketing, Customer Insights, Data Science, Finance, Capabilities, and Customer Operations teams.
• Plan and execute new and existing projects, ensuring operational compliance and effective coordination.
• Provide real‑time, reliable business reporting and monitor regulatory changes affecting in‑country operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services, technology, telecom, FMCG, or fintech.
• Fluent in written and spoken French and English.
• Proven experience in high‑level relationship management and negotiation with senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of financial products, credit risk, lending dynamics, savings and insurance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage projects in fast‑changing environments.
