About the role
Bayer is seeking a proactive Key Account Manager for the West Central Africa (WCA) region to drive seed sales, strengthen distributor relationships, and support the company’s growth objectives. You will act as the primary liaison between Bayer and its key distributors, ensuring accurate forecasting, timely delivery, and effective channel management.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute medium‑to‑long‑term sales plans for major accounts across the full product portfolio.
- Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with distributors, coordinating sell‑in and sell‑out activities.
- Monitor competitive activity and formulate responsive strategies.
- Collaborate with commercial, pricing, forecasting, supply‑chain, and credit control teams to align on pricing, stock availability, and account settlement.
- Analyze sell‑in, sell‑out, and inventory data to identify growth opportunities and improve channel performance.
- Ensure completion of channel business plans and regular performance reviews.
Required profile
- Proven experience in key account management within the agricultural or seed industry.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build trust with distributors.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with internal teams to deliver coordinated solutions.
