Remote Accountant (Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and financial reporting for our remote team. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial data, tax compliance and provide strategic insights to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns and process payroll in line with local laws.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and expense monitoring to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• Professional certification preferred (CPA, ACCA, ACA or CIMA).
• Reliable backup power, internet connection and a functional laptop.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or SAP.
