Risk and Compliance Manager

About the role

The Rainforest Alliance is launching an industry‑led initiative to strengthen the resilience of the cocoa supply chain in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana. We seek a collaborative Risk and Compliance Manager to lead risk identification, mitigation, and reputation management as the program scales.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a risk management framework and risk register, focusing on vulnerable groups and confidential reporting mechanisms.
• Train internal teams, partners and stakeholders on risk reporting and mitigation processes.
• Monitor, analyse and respond to reputational risks, coordinating rapid response and communication plans.
• Oversee adherence to internal policies, due‑diligence procedures and cross‑functional risk mitigation actions.
• Provide regular risk reports to senior leadership and participate in internal committees to address ongoing challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in risk management, communications, or environmental sustainability.
• Proven experience developing and delivering crisis management plans.
• Knowledge of sustainable agriculture certification and international development.
• Fluency in English and French, with ability to travel 20% annually.
