Accountant – Finance & Accounting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team supporting the oil and gas sector in Côte d'Ivoire. The role involves handling day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accurate journal entries, invoice processing, payroll, and period‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process journal entries, including accruals, adjustments, fixed‑asset and inter‑company transactions.
• Manage accounts payable, ensuring invoices are approved, coded correctly, and processed on time.
• Prepare revenue reports for operations and customers, obtain approvals, and issue invoices.
• Handle petty cash and oversee payroll processing and payroll accruals.
• Produce reconciliation reports for balance‑sheet accounts and execute complex period‑end closing tasks.
• Document and update business process instructions, proposing improvements for efficiency.
• Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across assigned countries.
• Adhere to internal control systems and company directives, including code of conduct and anti‑corruption policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting.
• College degree in accounting or a related field.
• Intermediate proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with any accounting system (GL, inter‑company, etc.).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
