Accounting Team Leader

About the role

Reporting to the head of the accounting department, you will lead an accounting function while remaining hands‑on. You will ensure compliance with local and international standards, deliver accurate bookkeeping, and support tax, audit and ad‑hoc tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure financial records comply with Ivory Coast accounting standards and maintain accurate general ledger documentation.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes and support statutory audits.
• Manage compliance with Ivory Coast tax laws, file VAT, withholding tax and other statutory returns.
• Propose tax planning initiatives to improve efficiency and mitigate risks.
• Supervise an accounting team when required.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including 1 year in a leadership role.
• Good knowledge of Ivory Coast accounting and tax regulations; IFRS knowledge desirable.
• Experience in multinational and transportation/logistics environments preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
