Bambara Language Specialist – Remote (Hourly)

About the role

We are seeking a native or near‑native Bambara speaker to join our team on a remote, hourly‑contract basis. The specialist will play a key part in ensuring our AI language models and content datasets are accurate, culturally relevant, and of high linguistic quality.

Key responsibilities

• Translate content to and from Bambara with precision and cultural nuance.
• Edit and proofread Bambara language data to maintain consistency and quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to annotate, evaluate, and improve language datasets.
• Develop, review, and maintain linguistic resources such as glossaries and written materials.
• Provide insights on Bambara idioms, expressions, and cultural context to guide AI model training.
• Deliver tasks on schedule while adhering to established quality standards.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Bambara, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in translation, editing, or other linguistic work.
• Ability to convey complex concepts accurately and fluently in Bambara.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to linguistic accuracy.
• Familiarity with language‑data tools or AI‑related platforms.
• Self‑motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
