Business Development Manager – Funding & Partnerships

About the role

The Business Development Manager will support Save the Children Côte d’Ivoire’s resource mobilisation by operationalising the country funding strategy and ensuring high‑quality proposal development. The role focuses on capture planning, donor intelligence and opportunity preparation, working closely with technical, finance and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Country Funding Strategies and Donor Engagement Plans aligned with the Country Strategic Plan.
• Engage strategically with institutional donors, corporate partners and foundations to secure programme funding.
• Lead capture planning, assess funding opportunities and make Go/No‑Go decisions with technical and operations teams.
• Coordinate proposal and concept note development, ensuring alignment with programme priorities, budgets and MEAL frameworks.
• Drive localisation by building capacity of internal teams and national NGOs in business development and resource mobilisation.

Required profile

• 5‑7+ years experience securing funding from DAC government donors, multilateral agencies, corporate donors or foundations.
• Proven background in business development, donor relationship management, strategic portfolio analysis and change management.
• Experience leading funding landscape assessments and designing programme funding strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical, finance and operations functions.
