Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive sales growth across the industrial chemicals market within an assigned territory. This field‑based position requires a self‑motivated professional who can open new markets, manage distributor relationships and represent the company to manufacturers and industrial end users.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new B2B customers while expanding existing accounts.
• Generate sales across multiple industrial chemical segments, including solvents, lubricants, base oils and specialty chemicals.
• Manage distributors, agents and key accounts, preparing quotations, negotiating terms and closing deals.
• Develop annual territory and customer plans, monitoring competitors, pricing and market trends.
• Coordinate with logistics, customer service and technical teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment.
• Achieve agreed sales, margin and collection targets.
• Travel extensively throughout the assigned region.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in industrial chemicals or related sectors.
• Existing customer relationships within the target country or region.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and commercial understanding of chemical applications.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
• Fluent English; French and/or Arabic advantageous.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of industrial chemicals, petrochemicals, solvents, lubricants, base oils, paints & coatings, resins & adhesives, PVC & polymer raw materials, oilfield chemicals, water‑treatment chemicals and specialty chemicals.
