Business Development & Market Manager (Cashew Sector)

About the role

The Business Development & Market Manager will lead strategic efforts to enhance the competitiveness of West Africa’s cashew processing industry. The role focuses on unlocking market opportunities, building sustainable partnerships, and supporting processors to meet quality and certification standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a work plan with concrete objectives and timelines in collaboration with the Director of Competitiveness.
• Build relationships with processors, producer associations and other cashew sector stakeholders.
• Identify and facilitate new buyer relationships in domestic, regional, and international markets.
• Lead strategic market development for processed cashew kernels and derivative products.
• Identify market opportunities that generate sustainable jobs for young women and men.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development and market access within the agri‑food sector.
• Ability to create and manage strategic partnerships with international buyers and local stakeholders.
• Knowledge of cashew processing, quality standards and certification requirements.
• Strong analytical skills to assess market opportunities and develop work plans.
