Chef de projet – Reforestation et agroforesterie

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, technical implementation, monitoring and reporting of a reforestation, agroforestry and forest rehabilitation programme in Côte d'Ivoire. Reporting to the Direction of AGRO-FORET INTER, the role combines field supervision with stakeholder liaison.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project schedule, budget and activity timeline.
• Supervise field teams including supervisors, forest technicians and nursery staff.
• Coordinate production of forest seedlings, planting, forest classification rehabilitation, community reforestation and agroforestry activities.
• Monitor indicators, collect data and prepare technical and financial activity reports.
• Represent the organisation with donors, local authorities, communities and technical partners.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and social standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5/6) in Project Management, Forestry, Agronomy or Environmental Sciences.
• Minimum five years of experience managing forest classification, rehabilitation, agroforestry or community reforestation projects.
• Proven leadership of at least one project in each of the following areas: forest seedling production, reforestation or forest rehabilitation, community reforestation, agroforestry.
• Strong leadership, rigor, organizational skills and excellent communication in French; knowledge of a local language is a plus.
