Commercial & Regional Director – West Africa (FinTech)

About the role

Optasia is seeking a visionary Commercial & Regional Director to lead its West Africa operations. This senior position combines strategic commercial leadership with full responsibility for regional performance, financial results, and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the commercial strategy for the West Africa portfolio, aligning with Optasia’s global vision.
• Act as General Manager of the regional office, overseeing revenue generation, cost optimisation, compliance and operational delivery.
• Accurately forecast financial performance, manage the annual budget and drive adoption of Optasia’s fintech solutions.
• Build and nurture relationships with senior executives, negotiate high‑value contracts and represent the company at industry events.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing team of regional and account managers, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in customer relationship management within Telecoms or Mobile Financial Services.
• Track record of building and leading high‑performing commercial teams.
• Strategic thinker with strong leadership and partnership development skills.
• Ability to drive growth through innovation, operational excellence and long‑term alliances.
