Construction HSE Training Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a Construction HSE Training Coordinator to support all project sites in developing, coordinating and delivering health, safety and environment (HSE) training. The role ensures training activities align with contractor standards, local legislation and client requirements while fostering a strong HSE culture across the construction workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Project HSE Training Matrix, defining mandatory and optional courses per job group and risk activity.
• Ensure training programmes comply with contractor standards, local regulations and client expectations.
• Promote HSE awareness through workshops, leadership training and other cultural initiatives.
• Prepare training materials, schedules and comprehensive training plans.
• Coordinate and coach site HSE trainers to deliver inductions for contractors and subcontractors.
• Support both theoretical and practical HSE training, involving subcontractor trainers when needed.
• Maintain accurate HSE training registers, tracking attendance and competency test results.
• Monitor training performance, KPIs and compliance with defined targets.
• Report training results to site HSE managers and the home office.
• Validate the HSE section of monthly construction progress reports related to training.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction HSE with a focus on training and competency development.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, construction risks and site safety practices.
• Proven ability to develop and manage HSE Training Matrices.
• Experience coaching and coordinating site‑based HSE trainers.
• Excellent reporting, monitoring and KPI tracking capabilities.
• Fluent in English; French is mandatory.
• Experience on EPC/EPCM or large industrial projects is a plus.
