Data Analyst – Traceability & Compliance

About the role

Under the supervision of the Traceability and Compliance Manager, the Data Analyst supports Barry Callebaut’s strategic traceability programme by ensuring accurate collection, analysis and use of data from partner cooperative societies. The role works closely with operational, monitoring and evaluation teams to turn field data into actionable insights that improve farmer livelihoods and manage environmental impacts.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, verify, clean and consolidate multi‑source data from suppliers and ensure reliable indicators for traceability registers.
• Develop and maintain decision‑support tools, strategic dashboards and automated alerts to monitor traceability KPIs.
• Manage delivery data quality on the FarmForce/Katchilé platforms, train back‑office teams and produce regular statistical reports.
• Oversee yield‑control activities, conduct risk analyses of cocoa infiltration and calculate farmer premiums.
• Provide support for register updates, coordinate with GRT and Monitoring & Evaluation teams, and ensure data is uploaded to the global platform.
• Manage system incidents, participate in user‑acceptance testing, train new cooperatives and support global digital teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or Business Intelligence.
• At least 3 years of data analysis and management experience, preferably in the agricultural sector and cocoa value chain.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional analytical projects in an international, multicultural environment.
• Valid driver’s licence and full availability for regional travel.
