Dioula Linguistic Specialist

About the role

This contract position focuses on providing high‑quality transcription and linguistic analysis for video content in both Dioula and English. The specialist will work remotely, supporting the development of language models by delivering accurate, timestamped transcripts and detailed linguistic insights.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe Dioula and English video material with strict accuracy.
• Insert precise timestamps for every segment to enable easy reference.
• Analyze speakers' emotional tone, intent, and non‑verbal cues.
• Evaluate and critique grammar, syntax, and tone to improve AI training data.
• Define conceptual meanings of words and expressions for deeper model understanding.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to ensure linguistic quality standards are met.

Required profile

• Fluency in Dioula and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in linguistics, translation, or transcription involving these languages.
• Ability to capture and describe emotional nuance and speaker intent.
• Familiarity with transcription tools and meticulous timestamping.
• Strong analytical skills for grammar assessment and detailed feedback.
