Director, Issuing VAS Sales

About the role

The Director, Issuing VAS Sales leads the acquisition and growth of Visa's Issuing Value‑Added Services (VAS) portfolio across the Western Central Africa (WCA) region. You will own the end‑to‑end sales cycle for new and existing clients, ensure solution activation, and drive revenue through upselling and cross‑selling.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate prospect clients for the assigned product family, supporting strategic account planning.
• Own opportunities from qualification to close, demonstrating technical capabilities and coordinating with Sales Engineers.
• Ensure activation and revenue realization, manage renewals, and drive upsell/cross‑sell within existing accounts.
• Collaborate with Generalist Sellers, Sales Operations, Product, Strategy, Client Services, Digital Partners, and Marketing to create proposals and sales materials.
• Lead sales planning, pipeline delivery, team recruitment, coaching, and training for generalists and product teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of relevant experience (or 8+ years with an advanced degree) in payments, issuer risk/fraud solutions, or related financial services.
• Proven track record in managing sales pipelines, negotiating and closing complex deals.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and multicultural relationship‑building skills.
• Fluent in English and French, with ability to work effectively in WCA markets.
