DOP / Cinematographer – Abidjan

About the role

VideoPro Africa is seeking a skilled Director of Photography (DOP) or Cinematographer to join its documentary crew in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. You will be responsible for capturing human‑interest stories across the region, working independently with your own equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute visual storytelling for human‑interest documentary projects.
• Set up, operate, and maintain camera equipment on location.
• Collaborate with directors and producers to achieve the desired aesthetic.
• Manage lighting, framing, and composition to ensure high‑quality footage.
• Deliver edited footage according to project timelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience filming documentary or human‑interest content.
• Ability to work independently and manage own gear.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling and cinematic techniques.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Abidjan.
