Freelance Akan Transcriptionist (Remote)

About the role

Perle, an AI infrastructure company, is looking for a freelance transcriptionist fluent in Akan to work remotely. You will convert two‑speaker, channel‑separated audio recordings into clean, accurate transcripts with speaker labels and timestamps.

Key responsibilities

• Listen to 2‑speaker Akan audio files and type every spoken word.
• Label each turn as Speaker 1 or Speaker 2, matching the audio channel.
• Insert timestamps at the start of each speaker turn (HH:MM:SS).
• Deliver sequential, gap‑free transcripts that meet quality standards.
• Maintain a daily output of at least 4 hours of transcription.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native fluency in spoken and written Akan.
• Strong written Akan skills, including correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• Ability to work independently and meet daily targets.
• Access to a computer with a stable internet connection.
• Availability for at least 4 hours per day.
• Prior transcription experience is a plus, but all candidates must pass a qualification test.
