About the role
Glovo is seeking a Global Affairs Lead to shape and execute its non‑market strategy across government relations, public affairs, communications and impact & sustainability in Africa. The role will act as the primary liaison with regulators, media, industry bodies and internal teams to protect and enhance Glovo’s reputation and business performance.
Key responsibilities
- Define and implement the non‑market strategy, coordinating public affairs, impact and sustainability initiatives.
- Lead local consultancies, think‑tanks and industry associations to develop robust policy approaches.
- Provide in‑depth analysis of stakeholder environments, risks and opportunities to senior management.
- Engage senior external stakeholders and represent Glovo in high‑impact policy discussions.
- Oversee budget planning and allocation for government relations and communications activities.
- Design and execute external communication strategies, media relations and social‑media content for Nigerian audiences.
- Manage crisis communications and measure PR/social‑media performance to inform tactical adjustments.
- Identify and drive impact and sustainability projects aligned with global goals, collaborating with regional impact leads.
Required profile
- 7–10 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or related fields.
- Proven track record of managing cross‑functional teams and external partnerships.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess regulatory and media landscapes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities with senior stakeholders.
