Chief of Communication (P-4) – 6‑month Fixed‑Term

About the role

The Chief of Communication will lead UNICEF Côte d’Ivoire’s Communication Section, reporting to the Representative. This six‑month fixed‑term position is responsible for developing and implementing advocacy and communication strategies that raise awareness and support for children’s and women’s rights.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the communication strategy, including media relations and public outreach.
• Build and maintain partnerships with networks, celebrities, and special events.
• Coordinate global priorities and campaigns, supporting resource mobilisation.
• Oversee management, monitoring and evaluation of communication activities.
• Provide capacity‑building support to staff and partners.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
• Minimum eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in communication, print, broadcast or new media, including international and national work.
• Experience in emergency contexts and familiarity with development or humanitarian settings.
• Fluency in French and English.
