Global Affairs Lead

About the role

The Global Affairs Lead will shape Glovo’s non‑market strategy across public affairs, communications and impact initiatives in Nigeria, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute Glovo’s public affairs strategy, coordinating with local consultancies, think tanks and industry associations.
• Act as the primary liaison between internal teams (Marketing, Legal, Operations) to align cross‑departmental strategies.
• Provide senior management with in‑depth analysis of stakeholder environments, risks and opportunities.
• Lead high‑impact policy discussions and represent Glovo with senior government and media stakeholders.
• Oversee budget planning and allocation to ensure scalable, impactful outputs.
• Develop and implement external communication strategies to boost brand awareness and reputation.
• Maintain media relations, build relationships with journalists and key industry influencers.
• Create and manage social media content for platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Analyze PR and social media metrics to drive data‑based improvements.
• Manage crisis communications across the region.
• Identify and execute Impact & Sustainability initiatives that align with global goals.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs or PR, with a track record of senior stakeholder engagement.
• Deep understanding of Nigeria’s political landscape and media environment.
• Proven ability to manage crises and regulatory shifts under pressure.
• Hands‑on, “do‑er” mindset with a startup attitude.
• Based in Lagos, fluent in English, willing to travel to other Nigerian cities as needed.
