Global Financial Shared Services Manager

About the role

The Global Financial Shared Services Manager will establish and lead IPA’s new Shared Services Center within the Global Finance team. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will design end‑to‑end finance processes, build a team of up to five professionals and act as the main liaison for country office finance teams and headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Shared Services Center, covering accounts payable, journal entry processing, inter‑company transactions and bank/balance‑sheet reconciliations for all IPA entities.
• Define, monitor and report on service‑level agreements, turnaround times, accuracy rates and query‑resolution metrics.
• Collaborate with country finance staff to resolve documentation gaps, reconcile discrepancies and support month‑end close activities.
• Identify automation and system‑improvement opportunities, develop performance dashboards and KPI reports for senior leadership.
• Recruit, onboard and supervise up to three shared‑services analysts, set performance objectives and deliver training on accounting tasks and NetSuite operations.
• Ensure compliance with IPA policies, donor requirements and applicable accounting standards; support internal and external audits.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the Shared Services Center, country offices and the Global Finance function.

Required profile

• Proven experience building or scaling a finance shared‑services function in an international organization.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, journal entries, inter‑company accounting and bank reconciliation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage SLAs, develop KPIs and drive continuous‑process improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across multiple time zones.
• Leadership experience supervising small finance teams and fostering a culture of accountability.
