Group HR Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Group HR Director to join our Human Capital team, based in one of the Group's countries of operation with regular international travel. The candidate should have strong HR leadership experience in multi‑country African environments, exposure to Private Equity, perfect fluency in English and professional French preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the Group's HR operating model across all countries.
• Professionalise the HR function, drive consistency and provide business‑oriented support to management.
• Set up compensation strategy, retain key talent and implement talent development processes.
• Establish employer brand, attract talent and lead internal HR communications.
• Guard personnel costs, ensure organisational structures align with business and financial objectives.
• Lead integration of acquired businesses and harmonise HR processes, policies and systems.

Required profile

• University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as an HR Manager or Director in Africa, with exposure to Private Equity.
• HR generalist background with experience as a business partner to senior leadership.
• Proven experience leading performance management, talent management, succession planning and remuneration cycles.
• Direct experience overseeing HR across multiple African countries and understanding local labour markets.
• Demonstrated experience in post‑merger integration and organisational transformation.
• Strong data‑analysis skills with ability to assess financial impact of HR decisions.
• Perfect fluency in English; professional French is a plus.
