Group Security Training Manager

About the role

The Group Security Training Manager will design, deliver and oversee security training programmes for all mining sites, ensuring personnel are well‑prepared to meet security challenges and progress to leadership positions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and continuously update comprehensive security training curricula tailored to mining operations.
• Deliver training sessions in‑person and virtually using classroom instruction, hands‑on exercises, simulations and e‑learning platforms.
• Assess training effectiveness through evaluations, feedback and performance metrics, and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, federal regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with site security managers, HR and external providers to identify needs and schedule sessions.
• Maintain detailed training records, certifications and produce regular compliance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice, education or related field; master’s degree a plus.
• 5‑7 years of experience in security management or training, preferably in mining or industrial settings.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver security training programmes.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, risk management and regulatory requirements in mining.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with willingness to travel to multiple sites.
