About the role
GSM is seeking a strategic and people‑centric Head of Driver Learning & Engagement to lead the development of driver capability, engagement, and communications across the organization. The role partners with Operations, HR, Recruitment and Market Leadership to ensure a consistent and meaningful driver experience throughout the driver lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Driver Learning & Development – develop and execute the learning strategy, design onboarding, refresher, compliance, safety and leadership programs, establish effectiveness metrics, manage trainer teams and partners, standardise content and delivery, and oversee training data and reporting.
- Driver Engagement & Experience – create and implement engagement strategies, design recognition programmes and community activities, conduct surveys, analyse satisfaction and retention metrics, gather feedback and drive initiatives that improve the driver lifecycle experience.
- Driver Communications – develop and execute a multi‑channel communication strategy, manage newsletters, announcements and policy updates, build and maintain driver communication platforms, monitor sentiment through social listening and surveys, and ensure consistent messaging across teams.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management – lead the Driver Learning, Engagement and Communications teams, manage budgets and resources, partner closely with Recruitment, Operations, HR, Product and Market Leadership, and provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Education, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Employee/Partner Engagement, Internal Communications or related functions.
- 3‑5 years of leadership experience managing teams and large‑scale programmes.
- Proven track record designing and implementing training, engagement or communication initiatives for frontline or distributed workforces.
- Strong project‑management and stakeholder‑management capabilities with a data‑driven mindset.
- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills, with strong empathy for frontline workforces.
- Experience in mobility, transportation, logistics, ride‑hailing or other high‑growth operational environments is preferred.
