Hospital Management and Partnership Referent

About the role

The Hospital Management and Partnership Referent will act as the primary liaison with Ministries of Health (MOH) for Médecins Sans Frontières hospitals in either Abidjan or Brussels. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on support to ensure that partner hospitals remain accessible to the most vulnerable populations and meet MSF’s quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of a comprehensive framework, tools and guidelines for collaboration with national Ministries of Health.
• Coordinate with Analysis and HR departments to align partnership strategies with MSF’s medical objectives.
• Provide strategic and operational support to hospital management teams, strengthening systems, management practices and quality of care.
• Mentor and build capacity of hospital managers, promoting sustainable management practices.
• Ensure alignment of hospital operations with MSF’s overall medical strategy and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hospital management, preferably within humanitarian or international health contexts.
• Demonstrated expertise in workforce and supportive services management.
• Experience working with Ministries of Health or similar governmental health authorities.
• Strong ability to develop frameworks, tools and guidelines for partnership management.
