Human Resource Business Partner – Abidjan

About the role

Zipline is expanding its life‑saving drone delivery services in Côte d’Ivoire and needs a seasoned Human Resource Business Partner to support its rapidly growing operations in Abidjan. You will partner with operational leaders to build high‑performing, engaged teams while ensuring compliance with local labour laws and Zipline’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Become an expert on Zipline’s business challenges in Côte d’Ivoire and advise operational leads.
• Partner closely with leaders to drive high‑performance culture, accountability, and timely delivery.
• Act as a culture ambassador, embedding Zipline’s values into coaching, development and performance management.
• Lead headcount planning, organizational design and onboarding processes.
• Ensure managers provide clear, actionable feedback and meet leadership expectations.
• Drive company‑wide performance calibrations and compensation reviews.
• Design scalable HR processes tailored to Zipline’s unique operations.
• Maintain compliance with labour laws and manage investigations in partnership with legal counsel.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in a People or Human Resources role.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and French.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships and earn trust across an organization.
• Strong intuition for driving organizational change and improving performance.
• Comfortable delivering difficult messages directly to leaders.
• High discretion with sensitive employee information and impartial decision‑making.
• Eligibility to work in Côte d’Ivoire.
