Humanitarian Specialist (Abidjan)

About the role

The Humanitarian Specialist will support the Church’s humanitarian initiatives in Abidjan and surrounding regions, contributing to the 5‑Year Area Humanitarian Plan. Working under the Area Humanitarian Manager, the role focuses on building strategic partnerships and delivering essential services to individuals and families in need.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support for humanitarian projects, coordinating with NGOs, government agencies, and community leaders.
• Manage the project life‑cycle, including procurement, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Prepare technical analyses, reports, and communications for Area leadership.
• Facilitate training and consulting for staff and volunteers, and support the use of emerging technologies and global project‑management tools.
• May supervise other humanitarian specialists and volunteers as assigned.

Required profile

• Experience collaborating with external NGOs, government officials, and community partners.
• Ability to manage project budgets, logistics, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel within assigned countries/provinces.
