Investment Officer, Public Private Partnership Transaction Advisory

About the role

The Investment Officer will join IFC's Transaction Advisory Services Department (CPNPA) in Abidjan, supporting governments in designing and structuring public‑private partnership (PPP) transactions across key infrastructure sectors. This is a three‑year fixed‑term position focused on mobilizing private investment for high‑quality, affordable public services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide transaction advisory services to governments for PPP projects in electricity, water, transportation, telecommunications, health, and education.
• Design and structure PPP transactions that deliver sustainable, long‑term infrastructure solutions.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Finance Services Department on M&A advisory, equity mobilization, and asset monetization initiatives.
• Support the mobilization of private capital, contributing to CPNPA’s target of $4.7 B in private investment.
• Manage client engagements and coordinate with regional hubs across Africa.

Required profile

• Fluency in English and French.
• Willingness to work onsite in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
• Experience in PPP transaction advisory, infrastructure finance, or related fields.
• Ability to work within a multinational development institution and engage with public‑sector stakeholders.
