Junior Project Engineer – Mining & Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of mining and infrastructure‑related projects in Côte d’Ivoire. The role will assist the project team throughout the full lifecycle, from planning and mobilisation through to delivery, close‑out and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Support the full project lifecycle from planning and mobilisation through to delivery and close‑out.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance.
• Coordinate procurement activities and contract administration.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, environmental, labour, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Support engagement with local communities, government stakeholders, and contractors.

Required profile

• Degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in mining, natural resources, infrastructure or heavy‑industry projects, preferably in West Africa.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong understanding of project financials, cost control, procurement and contract management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Knowledge of CNPS registration and local labour compliance processes is advantageous.
• Experience engaging with government ministries, local communities and managing local and expatriate workforces is a plus.
