Legal Intern – Partner Service Center or Legal Team

About the role

We are looking for two motivated Legal Interns to join Oikocredit from November 2026 for a six‑month period (extendable once). One intern will support the Partner Service Center, the other will assist the Legal team covering Africa and Asia jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner Service Center: conduct KYC monitoring, collect and verify documentation, perform World Checks and Google screenings, assess partner risk, and monitor transactions by requesting bank letters and reviewing unmatched transactions.
• Partner Service Center: screen third‑party entities such as traders and buyers, review and delete outflow personal data, and support the Investments department.
• Legal team: support Africa and Asia Legal Counsels with transaction administration, draft and review loan agreements and collateral documents, and ensure compliance with legal formalities.
• Legal team: conduct legal research, maintain functional databases, manage templates of legal documents, track POAs and local registrations, and prepare management reports.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or holder of a Master’s degree in Law (first/second‑year students for Partner Service Center, fourth‑year students for Legal team).
• Familiarity with OHADA law (required for Legal team).
• Strong interest in impact financing, development and sustainable business practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
• Strong research, analytical and writing abilities.
