Lenders Insurance Advisor Consultant

About the role

The Lenders Insurance Advisory Practice (LIAP) in Abidjan is seeking an Insurance Advisor Consultant to support project‑finance lenders across West Africa and globally. You will act as the primary liaison between lenders, project sponsors, legal advisers and technical specialists, delivering high‑quality insurance due‑diligence and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain contact with key project‑finance lenders and respond to bid requests with tailored proposals.
• Negotiate consultancy terms and manage fee transactions.
• Conduct insurance due‑diligence assignments, attending meetings with bankers, sponsors, legal and technical advisers.
• Research technical insurance aspects of specific projects and coordinate with internal specialists.
• Prepare comprehensive insurance reports and provide written and verbal advice to lenders.
• Deliver presentations, negotiate with placing brokers, and ensure service delivery meets LIAP standards.

Required profile

• Background in general insurance (industrial/commercial risks) or legal/infrastructure project financing.
• Strong independent work ethic combined with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Impeccable organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
• High level of confidentiality, flexibility, adaptability and teamwork.
• Fluent in French and English.
