Logistics Operations Manager (Full Time)

About the role

Jumia is seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to lead daily inbound and outbound logistics activities across its e‑commerce platform. You will ensure seamless transport execution, freight management and timely deliveries while driving continuous improvement in logistics performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics routines, coordinating transport execution, carrier allocation and route planning.
• Investigate and resolve complex transport delays, carrier exceptions and bottlenecks in collaboration with warehouse, procurement and tech teams.
• Maintain and exceed KPIs such as on‑time delivery, freight cost optimization and carrier SLA compliance.
• Identify recurring supply‑chain bottlenecks and propose actionable improvements to the Logistics Management System (LMS/TMS).
• Ensure accurate tracking of shipments, transport costs, vendor invoices and delivery statuses within ERP and TMS platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics management, transportation operations or supply‑chain leadership, preferably in high‑volume, multi‑site environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with carriers and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to root‑cause and resolve logistics disruptions.
• Agile and adaptable, able to prioritize dynamic transport schedules and manage peak supply‑chain volumes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools.
• Familiarity with route‑optimization software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (and the broader MS Office suite).
