Managing Director – Cocoa Partnerships, Côte d’Ivoire

About the role

The Managing Director for Hershey in Côte d’Ivoire will lead the implementation of the company’s Cocoa For Good strategy, serving as the senior-most representative in the country. Reporting to the Director of Cocoa Partnerships, the role coordinates closely with global government relations, sustainable sourcing, and cross‑functional teams to advance Hershey’s strategic interests in the world’s leading cocoa‑producing nation.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between Hershey and national government institutions, regulatory bodies, ministries, diplomatic missions and other key stakeholders.
• Develop and execute a government‑engagement strategy that supports sustainable cocoa sourcing and the Cocoa For Good initiative.
• Monitor, analyse and report on political developments and agricultural policies affecting the cocoa sector.
• Lead in‑country programmatic implementation, ensuring alignment of stakeholder activities and supporting broader West African initiatives.
• Represent Hershey’s interests in high‑level meetings, negotiations and public forums.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in government relations, diplomacy or public‑sector engagement.
• Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of complex organisational dynamics.
• Exceptional communication and discretion, capable of synthesising nuanced information for diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to influence and build relationships with high‑level public and private stakeholders.
