Maternal and Child Health Consultant

About the role

The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change is seeking a Maternal and Child Health Consultant to support the Ministry of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage of Côte d'Ivoire. The role will help translate the commitments of the 2025 MoU between Côte d'Ivoire and the United States into concrete, high‑impact actions at both central and decentralized levels.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise on maternal, newborn and child health to the Directorate‑General for Health.
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of priority health interventions outlined in the MoU.
• Strengthen the quality and effectiveness of IMH programmes and support institutional capacity building.
• Coordinate with central and regional health actors to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Contribute to data‑driven decision‑making and reporting on health outcomes for women, newborns and children.

Required profile

• Professional background with demonstrated expertise in maternal and child health.
• Experience supporting health ministries or similar governmental bodies in low‑ and middle‑income settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical teams and with international partners.
• Strong analytical and coordination skills to translate policy into operational actions.
