About the role
The Mining Key Account Manager will be based in Ivory Coast and will drive business growth for a leading international manufacturer of heavy equipment serving the mining sector. You will manage a portfolio of mining clients, promote equipment solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and nurture business relationships with mining companies and subcontractors.
- Identify sales opportunities, conduct commercial prospecting and negotiate offers and contracts.
- Design and execute key‑account development strategies.
- Promote mining equipment and machinery to clients.
- Monitor tenders, mining projects and coordinate with technical, after‑sales and spare‑parts teams.
- Follow up regularly on customer satisfaction and handle post‑sale issues.
- Perform competitive intelligence and market analysis for the mining sector.
- Prepare regular commercial activity reports for management.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s to Master’s degree (Bac+3 to Bac+5) in Business Administration, Mining, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience selling mining, construction or industrial equipment.
- Proven key‑account management experience.
- Good knowledge of the mining sector in West Africa, especially Burkina Faso.
- Fluent French and proficient English; Chinese is an asset.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Proficiency with PowerPoint.
- Experience using CRM systems.
