Nutanix / Networking IT Support Engineer (Break & Fix)

About the role

An experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer is sought to provide Break & Fix support for enterprise infrastructure. This is a freelance, on-call role based in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, covering Abidjan and surrounding areas. The position suits someone who can diagnose and resolve hardware, network and infrastructure incidents quickly while keeping a high standard of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote Break & Fix support for networking and infrastructure incidents.
• Deploy, configure and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform system upgrades, patching and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization and network issues, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS and DHCP.
• Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Respond to critical incidents and service requests within agreed response times.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud projects.
• Maintain technical documentation, incident reports and service records.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking or IT support engineering.
• Valid CCNA certification, ID/passport and valid work permit.
• Fluent English and local communication skills.
• Proven Break & Fix support experience in enterprise environments.

Required skills

• Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism) and VMware and/or Hyper-V environments.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching.
• Backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• PowerShell and/or Python scripting is advantageous.
• Preferred: Nutanix certification (NCP or higher) and cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
