Project Officer – Trade Facilitation Programme

About the role

This position offers a unique opportunity to support the EU‑funded GGSP‑CALAO programme, a major trade‑facilitation initiative across West Africa. You will work closely with programme teams, government bodies and regional partners to ensure smooth implementation of activities that reduce non‑tariff barriers and improve cross‑border trade.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational and administrative support to the Programme Manager, including planning, budgeting and timeline management.
• Maintain accurate project documentation such as monitoring plans, risk registers and activity logs.
• Support procurement processes and coordinate with technical teams on trade facilitation, communications and results reporting.
• Follow up with consultants, implementing partners and contractors to ensure timely delivery of outputs.
• Collect, analyse and report quantitative and qualitative data for quarterly and annual reports.
• Prepare evidence and documentation for audits, evaluations and programme reviews.

Required profile

• Highly organised, proactive and results‑oriented professional.
• Strong analytical and project coordination experience.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Ability to integrate gender, inclusion, safeguarding and sustainability considerations.
