Quantity Surveyor Engineer

About the role

A Quantity Surveyor Engineer is sought to support cost estimation, quantity take-offs, budgeting and cost control on consulting and client projects. The role ensures accurate measurement of works, effective cost management and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Develop and monitor project budgets and cost plans.
• Track variations, change orders and their cost impacts.
• Prepare interim valuations, progress payments and final accounts.
• Analyse tender documents, BOQs and contracts.
• Support procurement and contract administration, and evaluate contractor quotations and payment claims.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and financial summaries.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and consultants.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost control roles.
• Strong knowledge of BOQs, cost estimation and contract administration.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical, numerical and organisational skills, and good communication and teamwork abilities.
