Regional HR Business Partner – West and Central Africa

About the role

As a trusted advisor, the Regional HR Business Partner (HRBP) will sit on the Regional Leadership Team in West and Central Africa, supporting the Director of HR Business Partnerships. The role embeds People & Culture priorities into regional strategy, workforce planning, performance management and senior recruitment, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic HR guidance to regional leaders and country offices, influencing agenda‑setting and decision‑making.
• Lead workforce planning, performance management processes and senior‑level recruitment across the region.
• Drive total rewards, succession planning and leadership pipeline development.
• Advise on organisational design, restructuring and new operating models, managing change transitions.
• Partner with country HR teams to strengthen talent management, learning and development, and change capabilities.
• Analyse HR data and analytics to deliver evidence‑based insights on people trends.
• Promote an engaged, safe and inclusive workplace culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or senior HR advisor in a multinational or humanitarian setting.
• Strong understanding of HR strategy, workforce planning, talent management and change management.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior leadership.
• Fluency in English and French.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% across the region.
